Chest/Shoulder/Nose Weapons & Equipment

GR-103 Mini-Missile Launcher (2) -

This standard weapon is built into the VR-052 and VR-041 cyclones. In motorcycle mode, the two missile launchers are side by side in the nose of the cycle. In battloid mode, the missiles are divided, with one on each side of the chest/shoulder area. Both launchers hold six missiles (Usually armor piercing). You may use just one and replace the other with one of the other Chest/Shoulder/Nose Weapons and Equipment.

Primary Purpose: Assault
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Mecha Missile
Type: Any type of REF Mini-missile EXCEPT Plasma. Armor-piercing are standard-issue.
Mega-Damage: Varies with missile type.
Rate of Fire: One at a time or in volleys of two, four, or six. Remember, a volley counts as one melee attack regardless of the number of missiles.
Range: Varies with missile type; 20 ft to 1 mile.
Payload: 6 missiles per each launcher, for a total capacity of 12 if two are taken.

NOTE: It takes a trained Bio-Maintenance Engineer to reload these pods a minimum of 50 seconds. Yes! it takes an untrained person an average of 1D4+1 minutes to fully reload just one of these.

GR-201 Sensor Array #1 -
  • Thermo Imagers - Range: 1200 ft (387m)
  • Ultraviolet - Range: 1200 ft (387m)
  • Infrared - Range: 2500 ft (806m)
  • Night Vision - Range: 1600 ft. (480m)

This would go in place of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launcher, on either shoulder. Preferable next to the sensor eye piece that pops out when sensors and targeting computers are in use in battloid mode. This sensor eye piece is found mainly on the Right shoulder, but can be on either side. In order to have one of these nice little devices you need to give something up in order to have it.
For Example: you may want the Sensor Array #1, this would involve removing one of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers, then replace it with the sensor.

GR-202 Sensor Array #2 -
  • Infrared and Ultraviolet Optic System - Range: 2500ft (806m) maximum.
  • Magnification lens (to the 400th power) - Range: 700ft (226m)
  • Night Sight - Range: 1600ft (480m)
  • Adjustable Color Filters

This would go in place of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launcher, on either shoulder. Preferable next to the sensor eye piece that pops out when sensors and targeting computers are in use in battloid mode. This sensor eye piece is found mainly on the Right shoulder, but can be on either side. In order to have one of these nice little devices you need to give something up in order to have it.
For Example: you may want the Sensor Array #2, this would involve removing one of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers, then replace it with the sensor.

GR-203 Sensor Array #3 -

Expansion Radar Unit, gives radar an extra mile and be able to track 20 additional targets. This also, has the capability of identifying up 20 different targets. The targets, such as a cougar or an alpha, can be chosen by the player and/or the GM. This would go in place of one GR-103 Mini-Missile Launcher, on either shoulder. Preferable next to the sensor eye piece that pops out when sensors and targeting computers are in use in battloid mode. This sensor eye piece is found mainly on the Right shoulder, but can be on either side. In order to have one of these nice little devices you need to give something up in order to have it.
For Example: you may want the Sensor Array #3, this would involve removing one of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers, then replace it with the sensor.

GR-204 Sensor Array #4 -

This has video and Audio pickups for transmission. Has a built in memory card recorder that can store up to 24 hours of quality video and sound.
For Example: you may want the Sensor Array #4, this would involve removing one of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers, then replace it with the sensor.

GR-205 Sensor Array #5 -

Radio Expansion Unit, adds an extra 80 miles to the radio.
For Example: you may want the Sensor Array #5, this would involve removing one of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers, then replace it with the sensor.

GR-206 Sensor Array #6 -

THERMAL IMAGER: A special optical heat sensor that converts infrared radiation given off by warm objects into a false-color image for the pilot. It enables the pilot to see in darkness and through smoke, as well as providing a +30% bonus for detecting traps or ambushes. Range: 200 ft (60 m).
NIGHT VISION CAMERA: A low-light amplification camera that allows the cyclone pilot to see clearly in normal darkness. The camera will NOT work in pitch-blackness and can be blinded by bright lights such as flares or weapon discharges. Range: 400 ft (120 m).
FIBER-OPTIC COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM: The cyclone is equipped with a communications system that can transmit audio and video signals to a command base via fiber-optic cable laid along the ground. The advantage of this system is that it allows clear communications even in heavy static or jamming situations, and that the communication signal is virtually undetectable by enemy sensors. The disadvantage is that the fiber-optic cable must remain intact for the system to work. Range: equal to the length of the cable; up to 2 miles.

This would go in place of both GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers. This means taking out all shoulder missiles. In order to have one of these nice little devices you need to give something up in order to have it, for the exception of the missile launcher sidecar.
For Example: you may want the Sensor Array #6, this would involve removing one of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers, then replace it with the sensor.

GR-207 Sensor Array #7 -

Motion Tracker: Detects movement and pinpoints location. The motion sensor only pickup movement in a 45 degree angle in front of the sensor unit. In order to see movement behind the user must turn around. Does not identify targets just lets the user  know there is motion ahead and the distance. Range: 100ft (32.3m)
Radar Detector: Indicates the use/presence of radar in the area. Range of Detection: 1 mile (1.6km).
Scrambler: The scrambler will distort or "scramble" out going radio signals, preventing and interpretation by the enemy.

Effective radius: 2500ft (806m)

Note: Other, more conventional video systems, cameras, lenses and optics, are also effective tools for surveillance.
For Example: you may want the Sensor Array #7, this would involve removing one of the GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers, then replace it with the sensor.

GR-S Searchlights -

The cyclone would contain two powerful searchlights mounted on the front of the cyclone in motorcycle mode and on the chest in battloid mode. These lights can illuminate up to 600 ft (180 m) away and can penetrate light smoke and dust. Very useful for finding victims in dark places or rubble. With these lights switched on the cyclone uses twice the amount of normal energy. These lights can be used only while the cyclone is on protoculture power not on gasoline.

GR-OS Extended Oxygen Supply -

Extra supplies of breathable air in the armor can allow the pilot to survive up to 48 hours in a vacuum, or can be supplied to others through several tubes in the back of the mecha. There is also a reservoir of pure oxygen available for treating victims of smoke inhalation. This would go in place of both GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers. This means taking out all shoulder missiles.

GR-PP Extra Protoculture Power -

An extra cell storage unit. This can be utilized by either throwing a switch or it will automatically turn on if the other cell is low or dead. This would go in place of one GR-103 Mini-Missile Launcher, on either shoulder.

GR-PG Protoculture Generator -

Produces enough energy for the Renewal field to cover the entire cyclone. This field can emit the renewal field around the entire cyclone for 1D12 Melees. This field will only cut on when the cyclone reaches 50 M.D.C. or below. After the renewal field discontinues. There will only be 4 hours of protoculture left, before you need to replace the cell. This is only available to the total Saber Cyclone, two CADS systems required. This would go in place of both GR-103 Mini-Missile Launchers. This means taking out all shoulder missiles.
